Ramblings of a sweet and evil dominant Woman

In my obsessive blog reading I recently came across one with a list of goals. Not so unusual, but as I was reading through them I noticed a difference. All the goals were fun things the writer wanted to do. Yes there was some work involved getting to the goal but that wasn’t the focus. Well I need a little focus and adventure in my life so I decided to come up with my own list. Since I don’t want don’t want to do the new year to new year thing my goal end date is March 2009. Also to keep myself from adding forever I’ll have the full list by the end of November.

I do have a few goals in mind already. First I’d like to get my ears pierced. Something I’ve just never gotten around to doing. Of course since I am sensitive to some metals this will require getting it done right.

Another thing I’d love is to get a really sexy pair of high heeled boots. Really don’t care if they are cliche I like them Besides no need to run around barefoot all the time! The work in this goal will be in getting down to heel wearing weight so I don’t kill my poor ankles. I know what this is, no one else needs to .

Along the same lines I have wanted a tattoo for a long time. There is adventure in putting something pretty much permanent on my skin. A sense of commitment as well. Now to find the perfect artwork and someone good to do it.

Recently I was looking at someones road trip pictures and it occurred to me that I haven’t taken one in a long time. Cool, I thought, another goal! To make it really fun I want it to be a road trip to a state I’ve never visited, complete with stops at interesting sites that catch my eye along the way and possibly some camping out too. Lets see, car, money, time off, camping equipment, maybe a co driver? Ah yes this is going to be fun!

I was about to end the blog and remembered something else I want to do, get something published. This will involve actually writing and *shudder* editing. Still something I can possibly start working on right away. Oh and epublished counts so to chitin. My goals my rules

So that wraps up this blog… OH! wait! one more thing. I want to learn to ballroom dance. Apparently ballroom is coming back so it should be possible to find a class somewhere. Just need to find a partner. Ah yes, and time.

Um that was supposed to be the last one for now but then I remembered that I’d really like to learn to do proper rope bondage. This should be fun as well! I picture finding a willing rope dummy to tie up over and over until I get good enough they can’t escape. Not so much fun having someone escape when they aren’t supposed to but in this instance I think it’d be a good thing. Well ok I’m sure knowing I’d be having my skills tested would be good motivation to practice my knots. (note to self, buy rope)
Ok I think I’m finally done for now. Besides I need a pee. *looks under desk* Nope no one chained there with open mouth.

I know pup is trying to come up with some goals. Anyone else want to join me? Just remember to keep the goals fun! Nothing self judgemental like I really need to lose x pounds although the work can be on the way to getting to the fun…

This weeks episode of Bones with its portrayal of pony play got me thinking. At the beginning of the show when the characters had discovered that their murder victim is a pony boy they begin discussing fetish. Either Bones or Booth, I can’t remember which, and wouldn’t you know it’s not in the summary, says something to the effect that fetish is used to distance people.

My first reaction was to get indignant, no way, fetish brings people closer together! Then I started thinking. I mean how many, just to pick on one group, foot fetishist have been seen to forget that said feet were attached to a living breathing human being?

I brought this up with pup and his initial reaction was pretty similar to mine, shared brain and all. Then as he got to thinking about it he came up with a theory he qualifies by saying is way over simplified. Basically this, fetish is about objects and thus distancing and kink is about people so brings people closer. Hmmm maybe but needs a bit more thought so next I went searching for some definitions.

Merriam-Webster online defines fetish as : c: an object or bodily part whose real or fantasied presence is psychologically necessary for sexual gratification and that is an object of fixation to the extent that it may interfere with complete sexual expression

Obviously there were some other definitions but this is the one I was looking for.

ok so then we have from the word web dictionary:

1. (used of sexual behaviour) showing or appealing to bizarre or deviant tastes
“kinky sex”
- perverted

Ok so we have fixating on an object or liking sex that is outside the norm.

Well, kink is a little closer I suppose but none of this really works for me. I think pup was on the right track though. It’s about people. Anyone can use a kink or a fetish to hold others at arms length… or it can be used to draw someone closer.

At the end of the Bones episode David Boreanaz"s character says “Here we are. All of us, basically alone, separate creatures just circling each other. All searching for that slightest hint of a real connection. Some look in the wrong places, some, they just give up hope because in their mind they’re thinking, “Oh, there’s nobody out there for me.” But all of us, we keep trying over and over again. Why? Because every once in a while, every once in a while two people meet and there’s that spark.” Yes! Of course as someone reminded me I don’t really look. So watching or waiting, but the spark, yes.

Of course he goes one to say fetish equals crappy sex… ah well you can’t win them all. My spark comes with fetish (or maybe that’s kink?) included.

A little bit all over the place but I did promise a ramble…

Awww space for me thanks to a sweet puppy who I’m sure is happy happy not to have me doing the technical stuff.

Now, I’m sure I could break the blog as instructed if I really really tried but I think I’ll stick to my usual poking at the buttons. I have already learned that is you hit preview and forget to hit publish and then wander off to another page… No blog.
